Spanning almost three millennia, the history of Armenia can seem difficult to grasp in the age of digital immediacy. This atlas highlights twenty key moments in Armenian culture, associated with an original map.
Each plate includes an explanatory note of the main facts, justifying the date chosen. As history is not limited to politics, artistic, religious and economic elements complete a panorama that, while succinct, attempts to reflect the richness of this history. Only the contemporary period has been treated differently. The density of events to be presented has led us to devote more space to the twentieth century.
This atlas is intended as a general introduction to Armenian culture and history, accessible to all.
“For those interested in Armenian history, who don’t have access to a scientific library and don’t want to obtain their information solely via the Internet, the Atlas in its practical format with its affordable price is an excellent resource.”
